"Ducks and Drakes (to play)" is a 45-minute performance within the two levels of the Wohnhaus at the Raketenstation Hombroich. This work is an experimental group effort towards interdisciplinarity. Our research centered around the idea of formlessness in the body, noting a desire to experiment with the limitations of our own skin. This performance was staged in two current living spaces for artists in residence. The apartment on the ground floor was filled with 3 tons of dirt while the apartment on the top floor was covered with glitter. Outside, a scissor lift extended into the sky with a silver balloon attached to its railing. The performer embodied formlessness but she could not see nor hear. A poet, who had previously lived in this apartment and his daughter read texts during the performance. One other performer was stationed on the top floor and embodied formlessness in the voice.
